03+ outers tails?

Hey everbody,

Im a new guy in town and I allready tried to do a search so I imagine no one asked this but I doubt it. I have just found a generation 2 Ls at a Junkyard and I was wondering if its outer tails will fit the 2000 LS, I allready know that the decklid ones dont but do the outers?

The outers are the same. Only inners have changed. But the outers you will have are going to be two tone with the white on top/red on bottom off an 03.

My decklid area's deleted so I only have use for those anyways, I wanna see some more input on this then Im buying em and smokeing the top.

Well I gotta wait for the body shop to do the rear bumper or it aint leaving theyr garage.......No tags right now on the car.

Yes, the outer tail lights are interchangeable for all model year LS's.

Cool Im gunna pick em up today then, they are going for about 19 bucks each!

I also have to find a rear bumper from another car so the bodyshop can cut out the license plate surround off of it and mold it into the LS rearbumper. I guess I can get some progress pics then.

Whats a SVT LS? Have I been gone for to long or something?

The trunks been in paint and im sitting on a body kit thought so I might slide on the paint till it clears my mind as well, I dont have a camera either but Im gunna try hard. I havent been able to put the car on the streets cause of the whole bumper and tags idea. Sorry dude I wanna try my best to get some tho I could use the shops but that guy is allways busting his ass on cars alot more valubale than mine so I aint pissing him off and bugging him.

One new thought we have is trying to use the plate suround from off of the trunk instead of finding one on another car and melting them together.

The pre 03s are wavy so to speak but the post 03s are flat or smooth. I personally the like post 03s better.

You have to be careful because the 03+ taillights are just a smig longer, they rub the bumper slightly.
