First let me thank everyone for there input so far as im new here and got an ls last month with the dreaded oil coil issue for starters.. from the begining I was also getting the T.B. code, so after some gaskets coils and plugs and still not out of the driveway car was still stumbling back to idle and holding at about 2k in park would sound like it was picking up and dropping a cylinder but still starting and idling easy..
Then while doing the test again all of a sudden it became erratic than dropped down to a crappy stumbling shaking idle with no throttle connection what so ever and threw a bunch more T.B. codes

so my question..
will any 3.9 throttle body mate up to my pcm ?..
will any other ford etc. that match up work?..
are all the drive by wire modules the same in value, that look like they will fit?..

thanks in advance

I very strongly believe you are headed in the wrong direction here. Your symptoms are all related to ignition problems. What brand of coils did you use? Did you verify/set the gaps of all the plugs to 1.0mm? Are there other issues that you did not relate above?

AFAIK, the only throttle bodies that will fit are those specifically for the gen II 3.9L. There are different part numbers for different years, but it seems like any from 2003 to 2006 will work.

Again, RFI from ignition problems trick the PCM into falsely thinking there is a problem with the throttle when there is none.

thanks again joe,
the plugs are at .39 new ngk v power , the car has basically ran the same since i got it, this is with the oil soaked coils and old plugs then, cheap new jap coils and new plugs..also switched some old and new coils around..then i got another set of better claimed to speck new yellow heavy coils {all i could aford}still ran the same ...them i was getting the 2321, 0202,2106 and what i remember #2 coil and injector code..so i cleaned #2 injector and swapped to #1 hoping for the best or #1 issue to pinpoint inj. code.. ran the same for a couple of tries till it totally crapped out to taking about 4 seconds to start then it tries to idle and stumbles violently with no pedel response what so ever, the pedal responds like it is completely disconnected from car.. with all my reading here i know its hit or miss with cheap coils but i tried two sets at this point to get the same results..im waiting for the cord with the switch elms 327, for the forscan .. my blue tooth interfuse 327 looses signal when it gets to ready mode.. read up on that a bit also.. i just cant believe that these cars can be so fragile.. ive been buying, fixing, and selling cars as a hobby for about 40 yrs. now..avarage 3 to 10 a yr. i guess i will read, listen, learn, and post a bit more..while doing this i will swap back to other coils to see if anything changes..thanks for reading my post,

Yep, I've been down this road before with a couple of others. Sorry, but I'm not taking the trip with you. Those cheap coils are going (or already have) to cost you a PCM and cats, plus the money you waste replacing things that don't need replacement. In the end you will be one of the ones pointing out what a terrible car this is.

New Motorcraft coils and brand new spark plugs (yes, again) is what you need to do (and maybe now a new PCM), but it sounds like that's not going to happen.

thanks Joe, I kinda new that was coming..I kinda thinking the P.O. was driving around with bad coils and maybe screwed up pcm to begin with and thats why the symptoms have been the same for me. i also understand if i went denso or motorcraft to begin with i would be better off at this point....can forscan tell me if pcm is affected? also can it be reflashed if so, what would i have to do if pcm is damaged?..

I don't have anything to say that Denso coils would be okay. Why risk it?
No, it is unlikely that any DTCs will say that the PCM has this type of damage.
Reflashing (programming) the PCM is not going to fix any burned out FETs.
There is a company that tests and repairs these PCMs. Lincoln LS ECM / ECU Repair & Return - SIA Electronics

You'd want to make sure someone didn't dump sugar into the gas tank also. I'd pull the fuel filter and replace.

As Joe points out, failing coils, specifically #4 can throw RFI into the nearby PCM producing false Throttle Body codes.

I bought my 04 LSE on the cheap from a fellow that had already forked over $2700 CDN at the dealership, which included a brand new TB and still misfired.

Brought it home, changed all coils and plugs ... problem gone instantly.

I actually swapped out #4 with a known good old OEM Ford coil, which stopped the issue of throwing it into ETC failsafe limp mode. Following day I put my treasured brand new Visteon coils and all new NGK Iridium plugs in and it's been running like a raped ape ever since. Fuel filter and K&N same week. Like new.

thanks for your input also rigs. ive requested refund on coils and will start with motorcraft coils and inderium plugs.. i will also do both filters my air looks crappy so i would think the gas isnt any better.. i confident with both or your statuses.. i did get a bit confused reading other posts on sucess with ebay coils..
