03 Lincoln LS V8 speakers pop

whats up everyone.

i have a 03 ls with the THX audio gps system in it. the system worked perfect untill the poping started.

1) the volume only works up to one notch past the quarter mark. meaning if i got beyond that, the volume automatically decreases to nothing.

2) everytime i turn the car off and on the speakers pop everytime.

any help would be appreciatve.

It could be an issue with the headunit or the four channel amp in the trunk. From your description, it's more likely the be an internal fault of the headunit. (I withdraw that statement if the amps and/or speakers are not stock.)

i think that its head unit too i was going to take it to the dealer and see if they can find the problem but they said that they dont know if the price of the diagnostics (120 dollars) will go to fixing the problem thanx for the help though
