03 Lincoln LS CAN bus, networking problems

So the car started acting up a while back with the Advance trac light coming on. Now it has the ABS, Advance trac, check engine, brake light are all on. the Speedometer, odometer, wont work, check transmission comes on the dash. Power steering wont work right. The dealer said i needed a ABS module and after it was installed couldnt connect to it. When the car is wet then every thing works right and you can connect to the module. I was thinking there is a broken wire somewhere or bad ground but not sure. Any info would help!

I assume you installed the module? If so, I believe the dealer has to calibrate the new module.

I brought it to a shop that has the Ford IDS but they couldnt connect to the module and said they think there is something wrong with the CAN bus network.

reminds me of when my wiring started to show it's problems.

trace your main wire harness from the under hood fuse box to the back of the passenger front wheel and I bet you find some corroded green wiring.

if you press the status button what does the message center tell you?

When i hit status engine sensor data error came up, but everything else was fine. At the end of the list the Check advancetrac light would come on.

I went threw that wire harness a few weeks ago from the fuse box to the other side of the wheel well, i didn't fallow the harness up through the fire wall.

So the drivers side heated seat doesnt work, i dont know if something spilt on it or what. Im not sure if theres anything under there that would have an effect on my problem.

I also have an after market head unit in. Could this have anything to do with it?
