03+ Intake Silencers

I have to cut off 3 of those on mine so when I wrap the tube with insulation it wont be all stupid looking. I plan to use 3M interior vinyl/plastic adhesive to hold the patches on. Serious stuff. I used it to hold a split in the vinyl together on the drivers door of my Caddy. I had tried about 6 different kinds of glue prior and they all came apart within 3 weeks. The 3M stuff held for 6 months with no signs of giving in any time soon. Then I traded the car. You just have to be careful not to glue your fingers to anything... :shifty:

I just cut out DVD covers for the platic pieces to covers the "goiter" holes. Fairly thick sturdy ones. I applied the JB Weld and so far so good, this stuff looks pretty good and its not sloppy to work with either. Once it hardens up a bit you can peel off dripped spots and clean it up visually before it completely hardens. I only did this around 6pm tonight and have a road trip tomorow at 10am. I hope its cured enough byt then or else zip ties and duct tape to the rescue.

Where do the two tubes right before the throttle blade after the MAF lead to? One seems like it has some oil on it.

BTW thanks 02V8Sport.

A Buddy of mine did this with his 02 LS and now its Idling really high. I gave him my old factory tube and its still doing it, it sticks at about 2 grand and the slowly "sometimes" falls back down to around 1300-1500 grand.

We cant get it to stop, we disconnected the battery after a while and even messed with the sensors to see if that made any difference with it at all but it just keeps doing it. Another odd thing is that his airbag light keeps flashing..???????
