03+ hid headlights

Good luck - I tried and failed. $2k/ea from the dealer. You're better off doing a retrofit, which will yield MUCH better light output, for a fraction of the price.

They're plug and play.
All you have to do is grind down a tab on the car connector for it to fit into the hid light.
One of mine I bought for 75.00 the guy didn't even know it was the hid one.

Also the hid's have a diamond like looking center over the bulb vs a smooth one for the halogen.

That is a good deal if it finishes at that, but it's still a bid.

Oh wow. I didn't see the BIN button. Took me a min to get what you meant by BIN. Yeah, that a really good deal. If they were 2 for 500 I would jump on them so fast. New halogens cost about 600 each, and you can get both hids for less. I got mine for 500 shipped

I get pretty much cost on things from Lincoln & my cost for the HID lights is INSANE! I almost passed out when I was told the price was each & not for the pair... I don't need them just wanted new ones like when I had my Town Car, but that was waaaaaaay cheaper & no big deal.

it would be cheaper to wetsand them if you want a clean look again, or buy new halogens and swap out the clear lenses. I was thinking of saving up to buy new HIDs but thats just insane, I will most likely wetsand them when they get beaten up enough or buy new halogens to swap out and maybe sell the halogens with angel eyes since they will be open already.

Right. If all you are looking for is new looking headlights, you can restore them fairly easily. If it were me, I would also apply a layer of lamin-x film over them afterwards.

You know I tried doing that by sanding them with 3000 & 1500 (I think) then polished them with the headlight kit from Meguiar's & they didn't come out looking new at all. Maybe I just didn't do it right I'm not sure, because I can still see the haze or whatever when the lights are on. I want the crystal clear look again like I see in the videos on this stuff.

You have to really take your time, or you can just get them done by a shop if you dont think you can.

If they were hazed then you didn't polish the sanding marks out properly. Steps should go like this:

1. remove headlight
2. Clean headlight
3. wetsand he headlight. Start with 1500 grit. If defects are not removed, step up to 1000 grit. Least aggressive method should be used. I have personally gone to 600 grit before. If needing to step up to a coarser paper, you will have to follow with the progressively finer papers afterwards. Up to 2000 grit at least. Be sure to alternate sanding direction with each grade of paper. For instance, if sanding in a horizontal manner with 1000 grit paper, sand in a vertical manner with the 1500.
4. Polish the light with a rubbing compound (3M rubbing compound for example) to remove the sanding marks.
5. Polish with Meguiar's Plast-X to restore shine.
6. Either apply a Paint Sealant like Duragloss 105 to the headlights, or cover with clear film (www.lamin-x.com)

Yeah I saw that 3M kit the other day it's worth a shot my HID's are lil cloudy at the top by like pek said I would take off the light watching that vid made me a lil scared trying that
