03-04 cobra exhuast manis

i have read threads saying they flow better and bolt right on, need a new steering joint and so on. but does anyone have actual pics of the manis installed? a friend will sell me the stock manis from his 03 and i am thinking about doing the swap.

I bought a set of 01 cobra manifolds and bolted em right in place, perfect fit and clearence.

How was your low and high end effected after the install?

Never installed them, put em in place and then started on the project and then quit, so they sit on the wall.

So..............are they going back on? Has any one had any luck with long tubes?

Well I have 04 manifolds, but I need them with my engine. Others have installed them though and it helped it seems. The cars breathe fine, its the exhaust thats a little restrictive. Cobra manifolds with 2.5" pipe would be ideal.

..........ok, are the '01 or '04 mani's better? What about longtubes? Not needed I guess?

I am not sure about the 01s. I think those of us who switched went 03/04 but I am sure if there is a design difference.

Unless you are doing A LOT to the intake, headers are really not needed.

do you have any pics of your install?

You'll have problems with the EGR as the tube will need to be modified significantly. also you'll need a new Cat setup also.

No I dont have pics, the only pics I have are with it having Aviator manifolds.

So all you have to do is install them (the 01s) and make a spot for the egr, and install new cats and exhaust?
