-.101 Rt. Does that mean he Red-lighted?
I figured that would be a pretty even race. Stock for stock would be pretty close too, but with a set of 4.10 gears the Marauder would've been out front.

Yep he red-lighted that one. First run for both of us that night. He approached me for the race, after he asked what I run I think he wanted a head start.

He has 4.10s at home its his next mod. It would put him ahead likely. Those are some strong #s for a near stock Maurader though. His best before then was 14.9. I was about .1 off my best runs.

Marauder only has 4 gears though. The LS has the better gear ratio advantage to keep it in the power band longer. Plus its lighter. So it can do just as well, with less power. (and get better gas mileage) :p

He wasn't entirely stock. You said he had it tuned. With the right tune those Marauders can gain about .25 - .3 second on the track. Plus he has the intake, which really helps performance on those. Completely stock they run low - mid 15's depending on the driver.
How many miles did he have on that engine?

I drag raced a stock Marauder and he did 15.5s. Guy was pissed that a LS with 3.9L beat him (I had 15.3s) he thought I had a 4.6L

I'm familar with the LSs gearing advantages, The low 2.1 60's and 9.3 1/8ths are proof and were I was beating him. To bad we can't 4.10...not that I would with this trans 3.80s would be my choice. I'm planning on the 3.58s for fall as its as good as it gets.

I think less than 10k on the fresh motor. He was telling another guy what happened to the old one...I didn't hear the deal, just this one was factory new not long ago and his mods were as such. 14.6 with those 2 mods are good #s IMO for that car. He left room for improvement on the 60' too IMO he could go 14.5 in that trim and would be right there close to me. I can turn consistent RTs with the LS though so I'm pretty tough to beat with similar speed cars.

God, I miss my 'rauder (302 Hp I believe it was lol). Nice times

I have a friend with an 03 Maurader and ya there pretty dam close the Maurader will whomp off the line but around 50 or so I'm door to door and by 65 I'm a ahead by a nose. Now on the highway from about 70 or so it's another story. I make him cry

The Maurader's got the K&N intake tube, custom mandril exhaust, and costume SCT tune. He didn't have the exhaust last time we raced.
