02LSE vs. 05?Bonneville

I'm not stock probably around 290-295HP,but I don't think even a Gen1 stock would get killed by it, I guess beat, but not killed. I know the supercharged can mod easy, but I doubt Grandma was packing mods and think I would have pulled faster on the supercharged. I'm qiute sure it was the Northstar. I have raced GTPs with my 1st MarkVIII which was slow compared to my latest MarkVIII and my LSE, and stuck right with them.

Isn't the Northstar a 4speed trans, the 5speed in the LS and its tighter gear ratios makes up for the slightly less it may have when stock in this situation.

I believe you are correct about the LS having the advantage as far as transmissions go.

Back many moons ago when I first started working out here in old Boscobel. I lived about 15 miles out of town (you have to understand the area very rual).... Well there was nobody that I could leave in front of me. So I was heading to work and saw a small compact car that I was closing on. I pulled over to pass, then noticed that I wasn't passing this car. Now I had to have been going about 90 at the time. So I looked over hear was this old teacher who I worked with. She was about 70 years old, just a waving at me and smiling... Ummmm... she then let me pass LOL... (This lady taught school until she was 75 years old...
