glad to see this one still come up every once in a while, kinda of a nice break from all the recent overheating threads...

how hard would it be, for when someone goes to post a new thread...instead of it actually posting, it just redirects and becomes a google search! :D

Go to fordparts.com

Type in your vin

surf to the shocks section and see whats left....it should only show your cars shocks...special = sport

if you don't put in the vin and just drill down with year make model...it shows you all the possible shocks.

Yahooooo. fordparts.com says my sub model is sport. Built in January of 02 with wood grain steering wheel and shift knob, chrome bumper strips and 16"alloys. Thanks guys, I was kind of confused reading down through the post

'02 had a "premium sport" that had the sport suspension and 17' wheels but everything else was "non-sport." The basket weave seats are the giveaway.

yeah, no part of that list makes me think sport... I didn't think that any sports came with wheels smaller than 17".

does it have the SST shifter?

personally, I would get under the car and measure the anti roll bar to be sure...

If it has "basket weave" seats it's a premium sport..... No SST, 17" wheels, wood steering wheel and shift knob and non-sport bumpers. There was a cold weather package that came with 16" wheels as chains aren't allowed with the 17 inchers.
