Hello everyone. I have a 2002 Lincoln ls v8 sport. I went and bought it without realizing that the brake lights wouldn’t turn off when the car is on. When I took it home I started inspecting it more. I have a ABS, advanced trac, and brake light warning on the dash and won’t turn off no matter what. Mileage Odometer reads “———-“. Speedometer doesn’t work? other gauges do. And my brake lights stay on when the key is in the on position or the car is running. When the key is out and the car is off, the brake lights work fine when I hit the brake pedal. But when I put the car in accessory mode or start it, the brake lights won’t turn off, no matter what as if I am hitting the brake pedal. I also had a sunroof leak going down my right passenger side pillar (Don’t know if it had something to do with the issue). I was doing a little bit of research and saw that it could be a ABS module issue. I went on eBay and bought a used ABS module from a junkyard and swapped it out and no difference. I also went and bought a new brake light switch and installed it and it’s still didn’t work. I don’t think I ever drove it yet after swapping the abs module I think I’ve just parked it and it’s been sitting for months. I don’t wanna drive it and get pulled over for brake lights not working properly and people wouldn’t know when I am braking. Any ideas any help would be very much appreciated as because I need a car to get to work.
