02 Lincoln LS in the Body Shop!!!

Here goes some pictures of my Lincoln Ls in the body shop getting a @3500 dollar paint job! So anxious to see the outcome.

Nice to see one getting a fresh coat. Keep the pics coming.
 
@G-Rell Yes its going to be the same color.
@marcredd Most def I will keep them coming, the guy joey said it will be done by tomorrow so we will see.
 
It's funny you brought that question up D. I am considering painting mine since the rear valance deal fell through. I am not concerned about the paint adhering to the rockers but more I am worried about chipping over the course of time because the rockers are somewhat textured. Especially on a white car. My paint guy, who I have been with 20 years, is hesitant to let me spend the money.
 
there have been a few who have done it... i never heard any negitive things about it... also if you were really worried about chipping, you could add a sheet of that hood protection film (in strips) to the "trouble" area's to protect the paint.
 
id say paint them Marc. after seeing mlara's car in person, they look way better painted
 
I feel you D. Just the thought of easy chips bothers me. Of course I would not be as concerned if I could put the gen 1 lseside skirts on instead. Just having a little issue of finding the matching lower rear valance. ;).
 
I see you are located in VA Beach. I just had mine repainted and that's what I paid. Went with the tuxedo black. I actually had my side rockers painted. Makes the car look more complete. I actually replaced the door pillars and had them painted also. Check my threads for some pics.
 
Yea man I got it. I intended to send you a response that day but got busy. Right now I think I'm good with the factory rockers being painted. Everything seems to flow together. You decided not to put them on your car?

If i were you id have them painted and then put a clear bra on them.
 
Contemplating just painting the lower rockers.

With you passing on them, that puts G Rell at the front of the line for them. Just let me know when it is time Rell.

Makes me want to get my car repainted in a newer Ford silver. Also marcredd you have a PM.
 
The rockers are the plastic trims at the bottom of the doors correct? Yes I should of gotten them painted I didn't think of that. I'm sure it would be cheap to get them painted though. Also I just got my car back tonight its raining hard so I will take pictures once its clear....
