01LS throwing P0734,35 P0745 & P0795

Using my Cobra's SCT tuner I was able to pull the above codes; Gear 4 and 5 ratios incorrect and pressure control solenoid errors

Will a solenoid pack fix this? 4-3 prestroke valve? Or am I looking at a rebuild of the transmission?

anyone else have issues with this? or can anyone recommend a reputable trans shop in the IE (SoCal)

There is a shop close by me that told me they have had a few ls get their transmissions fixed there. He said he charge 400. I dont know how reputable it is but I think I will take it there soon to fix mine.

Toyota motor corp found that the solenoids in the tranny rarely failed. What happens is that small metal particles floating in the fluid find their way into the solenoid camber and jamb the piston. This is the same problem we have with the DCCV.

forgive my ignorance but does that mean the trans is bad (hence the metal shavings) and I should rebuild?

Its only got 50K miles on it but I drive the hell out of it - these LS's move pretty well for a 4 door luxury car.

Could be you only need to flush and fill the tranny or change out the solenoid pack. If you're not a tranny guy then it's off to the shop....
