Ok guys I've been through 2 FEMs (front electric modules) the stock and a used one I bought, that control the headlights and fog lights. The current one I have installed has no highs or fogs. All the wiring and fuses to and from the FEM check out fine and I wondered if anyone has ever tried to repair one. I have a spare that the fogs are dead on that I could take somewhere or send someone if they know how to fix it. A new one is in the $600 range and I don't have that kind of cash.

I thought the FEM needed to be programmed to your car, I wasn't aware you could just hot swap them like that. Interesting. I think I might have a similar problem, I get good voltage & ground to my left side fog/high but the FEM wont turn it on it seems.

I've never been able to get my fem connectors/wiring the same since removing it all, major pain in the a$$ under there.

it couldn't hurt to open it up and clean with electrical grade stuff, I have but unfortunately my problem persists.

If as you say "I get good voltage & ground to my left side fog/high but the FEM wont turn it on it seems", than the bulb or the socket is at fault. Besides both fog lamps are controlled by the same relay, if one fog lights and the other does'nt than the wiring/bulb or socket is the problem. The sockets used on the LS are poor quality. If you have power and ground at the backside terminals of the socket, then make sure to remove the bulb to see if it carries through the socket to the bulb. The socket terminals are not one piece, they are a two piece design that often fail because of corrosion or if the plastic socket has melted.

As for "it couldn't hurt to open it up and clean with electrical grade stuff, I have but unfortunately my problem persists", The mother board has been coated to keep it protected from moisture. Yes, it could hurt If what ever you sprayed degraded the coating. There is only 1 dual relay on the mother board, the rest is all electronic components(gen 1 FEM), so there is no reason to open it up.
