Whats up guys!

I ran My 2002 LS on a country road, and it went from 0 - 94 Mph in 13.9 Seconds. Traction loss at the beginning. You cant hear it very well, but the Car slipped up to 35 kph, then finally grabs the pavement.
*Stock, the First Gen LS Clears the Quartermile @ 94 mph @ 15.2 seconds.*

Timed it on my computer, the video quality isn't the best as its a cell phone camera, so I apologize. But from when the Speedometer jumps it is 5.5 seconds in, and when it hits 150 kph (94 mph) it was at 19.4 seconds in. Clears 100mph exactly on 20 seconds, so 14.5 seconds.

Condition: Ran against the wind, outside is very warm (Dry pavement) , the street is a country road that goes up hill and peaks in the middle, and my rear tires are 3 year old winters. My LS has 260,000 kms on it (162 500 miles)

Mods: Magnaflow Exhaust, Custim Air Intake, Aggressive tune.

Hey thanks! I love the way it sounds too. Credit goes to Magnaflow and Sully for the Work he put into my Intake (which made the engine sounds nicer)

I will eventually take it to the track for a confirmation. What I did today was just for fun. The closest track to where I live is 3 HOURS away. So When I decide to go, I'd somehwat like the days conditions to be very good. I would hate to blow a half tank of Gas to arrive to crummy weather or an over packed track =/

Also I want to install my eibach springs before going.

Thats not a very accurate way to time it.

The basic 3 mods put several Gen 1s in mid 14s when drivin properly which is what I'm gonna say your time would be on a track.

Hard to say what my time would be at 94mph on this timeslip but I'm guessing more mid 13.

Does look like fun now doesn't it.

What is the R/T .005 ?

is that the launch time, reaction time or something ?

Sorry, I don't race or go to tracks.

Reaction time.

.000 is perfect for the track I go to with the current system they are using and the system used when that time was run. Used to be .500 was perfect there, I have a .501 slip.

14.2 Is till bloody FANTASTIC!!!!!!

Id be totally Happy with a 14.2, given these aren't race cars and I think my LS has too much age on it to impress me beyond that.

Questions: How much gas did you have in it when you ran? Was it hot outside? Did you have the spare tire in or out? Whats your body weight?

All those factors, you could have been ----->>> 14.0, or lucky, 13.9

Also, might I add, those 3 upgrades made you 1.1 second quicker over stock times. Thats also VERY impressive. these LS's love the 3 basic mods. Puts you from Losing to a Nissan Altima 3.5 / Honda Accord 3.5, to kicking its ass all day long!!!

Another thing, with springs to lower it, less wind drag should give it some help. Not only that, but I was thinking too a Stall converter upgrade to add more torque.

The 14.284 was with 4.10 gears to clarify. I was showing a timeslip to show a 94 in 13.9sec if even accurate would mean a mid 14 1/4time.

I did run 14.368 with stock 3.31s and the basic 3.

That said I've had the car down the track near 200 times to do it..... not easy. Probably only 50 times on the 4.10 so may have something left, but in 50 times I can honestly say not much, kinda hit a wall without traction.

All my times are pretty well documented on here just look at my threads.

I would love to get my hands on a truely stock Gen1 V8 to see what I could get it down too. The basic 3 make a big difference but I never ran mine stock with what I know to compare.

The 14.368 was at about 60degrees, cooled down....not cold.

The 14.284 was pretty cold out don't remember guessing 50ish.

All my times besides some of the first posted slow ones are full weight minus spare, jack, and truck carpet. Gas level varied but never more than half. I weigh 175 to get technical.

The launch is the key.

14 seconds is slow. These are not race cars. They are quick sedans but getting slower and slower as they years go on. Those Nissan 3.5s pull hard.

Agreed but the 3.5 Nissans are 14 sec cars tooo.??

Yup!
My brother went to Cayuga with his Altima 2008 3.5 se.

His BEST time of the day, was 14.7
otherwise, he averaged between 14.9 and 15.1 Stock, no Mods.

Also, that video is One run.... and the conditions did not favor me. As was pointed out, I should go to the track to get an accurate timing.
non the less, my LS currently is a full second faster than what it was stock, which puts me faster than the 3.5 from Nissan and Honda. And imo embarrassingly faster than dodges 3.5 charger from 2010 and under.

In fact, the base model 2006 V8 charger pulls 14's. Newer car, bigger engine, muscle car as well, worse gas mileage, - and 3 basic upgrades put our LS's standing toe to toe with that.

Dunno bout you, but im almost satisfied!

A 2010 and under 3.5 from Nissan and Honda, will run door to door with a Second Gen LS stock vs stock in a Quarter mile.

keep going after the Quarter mile, and the second Gen will say "Bye Bye" to the 3.5's.
