0-60 in 2.9 secs

Yeah, but they'll never produce it. It's been out for quite some time now; I saw it at the San Diego Auto Show last year.

2.9 sec, I'd love to drive that thing for a weekend... or however long I could get away with :Beer

You're probably right! And you want to know what? The power levels aren't that much higher than a stock S65. Benz is making some incredible vehicles. I'd kill for an S55 or C55. God their amazing cars.

Saw it at the autoshow here in Minneapolis...and was actually able to take a really close look at it. It's a little more than a re-badged benz.

that race was fixed, tell that little eletric car to run my lincoln Muhahahaha not that turd vette

I put money that the motor, drivetrain, computer, and frame are all Benz designs and or already benz products being used. Like Chysler has any money to be developing a super-car. HA
They couldnt design themselves out of a wet paper sack!

0-60 in 2.9 is nice, i want a car that can go 100-60 in about the same time! Diggit?!?

It was a Shelby Cobra. To the best of my knowledge, it is still the fastest car in the world from 0-100-0.

Only real problem with a Cobra is that he rides like a log train, I drove a 427 about 2 years ago and I was all banged up from driving it around a small road course in Indiana. Believe me it wasnt me, I have spoke with numerous drivers and they all agree you want straight line speed, get it, you want handling dont get it. (vintage racing is what we where talking about)

The record

0-100-0 record beaten by the Brits (08-18-04):

A new record of 10.3 seconds was recorded yesterday at Bruntingthorp, half a second quicker than the previous effort.

The car was a prime example of Britains excellent low volume, high performance sports car industry, a 640bhp Ultima GTR.

A 377ci N/A Chevy V8 was the power source, in combination with a Porsche G50 transaxle.

The car is fully road leagal, using only factory parts, and was running road leagal tyres.
