Was driving my Nav couple months ago. Pulled into parking space in front of my destination. But wait - car still moving! Jumped the curb! Hit the corner of the building! Not very hard but unknown to me this used Nav I bought 6 years ago had seen a harder hit in same spot before I bought it...
Trying to replace one stud on rear wheel. I'm down to the axle shaft and it looks like I'll have to remove the nut and then try to free the hub. I cannot get the stud in from the back. It is too long.
Anyone have any other ideas?
Hello. 2007 Nav L. Love it. 163000 miles. Not using it as much as I should. If it sits for a week or more, the rear end sags. Start it up and compressor pumps it back up. Never any messages that air susp not OK. Rides great. But there must be a slow leak or something. Any pointers as to what...
Anyone have part # or pointer for correct ones? I bought 2 from 'Lift Supports Depot' but they do not work. I got them installed but the body end is angled a bit at the attachment point. And the things after a few cycles are squealing loudly and clicking and shaking when liftgate reaches just...
Hello. Thinking of buying one. Haven't seen it yet cause it's 100 miles away. I have a question though hopefully an owner can answer: simply can I carry a 4x8 sheet of plywood in there with the second and third row folded down? Thanks
Today my near perfect 2004 Navigator 4X4 w/143,000 miles started acting up. When I put it in 4 Low and shifted to 2nd (I do this everyday to make descending my steep dirt and rock driveway easier) Nav said it was in 4 Low but it seemed to be in 4High. Raced down the hill. Stopped to take it...
Do we have access to a Nav shop manual CD as we do for the LS? 2004 is my year.
Replying to myself here. Realized after I posted that my service info DVD for 1996-2002 has all Ford products for those years in it. I always thought of it as my LS service manual. Though mine is an '04 I dont...
Hello. I need to change the fluid and filter. I've done this on my LS but never on the Nav. Since locals want $150 for the flush and $150 more for the filter I'm inclined to go the do it myself route.
What are the tricks to this job? Just slowly drain the fluid out of the pan, then remove...
Boy when the air ride fails to initialize in morning, this vehicle really hops and bounces over bumps and dips. Any ideas why it fails? Always in AM, usually when it's cold outside just no compressor noise no nothin..No air suspension indicator on dash either.
It's a 2004, 140K miles...
