Well after 50000 miles on a blown head gasket my 93 MK8 said no more. It was blowing up my hoses like balloons and shooting water from around the fill cap. Anyone who has cobra heads or a swap let me know. I will be trying to bring her back BLOWN :D

I have had the same problem for 2 years with my 93 mk8. I bought it that way, removed the T stat. That was at 164000 miles, i now have 217000 miles and still no t stat. just fill the overflow tank once a week. She still runs a 9.8 1/8 mile and gets 25 MPG
