Mine did the same thing 2 days ago (2000 V8). Vehicle started, but none of the electrical items worked. Couldn't turn on radio/ac/gauges all at zero.... Turned off, and restarted and no problems since. Could it be the heat? It was about 95 that day and car had been sitting in a parking lot...
