I haven't looked into this, but don't you have to make the car conform to Canadian standards? For example, daytime running lights are a requirement for Canada but not here in the US. This would need to be added to the car before it would pass inspection. What about duty? Something to check...

Me too. Those nylon cable ties are super strong, yet if I ever want to replace the boot I can just snip them off and put new ones back on. (Plus I get to keep my $177.00).

For all the manual 5 speed owners. The shifter boot is held in place with 4 rather flimsy plastic clips that will break over time. One person here has had theirs replaced under warranty 4 times already. When I fixed mine, I could tell it had already been replaced when I found additional broken...

I also have a 2000 LS with a manual transmission. I have driven a stick for over 15 years and getting another one was a prerequisite when I bought the LS. I would not settle for an automatic so I located one in Texas, flew there and drove it back to Allentown PA. What a great ride!

Start with the basic tuneup things. Most of the time bad gas mileage is a result of a clogged air filter. Replace that right away and see if there is any change. Have it scanned and see if it pulls any codes. It might be a number of things. Bad O2 sensors, spark plugs, plug wires, gas filter...

The special tool does not 'push' in the rear caliper piston. The tool fits in the recesses of the piston and you turn the piston clockwise to screw the piston down. By the way, if you have one of those cube shaped universal tools, it won't work. None of the sides fit in the slots.

It has hydraulic lines running to it and it's own hydraulic pump driven by the fan belt.

Backup sensors are for poor drivers. Usually little old ladies who don't know where the back end of their car is until they bump into something.
