    That's probably a problem with the cassette tape itself. They get old and cranky. You can try fast forwording once in each direction (or rewind). That seems to help sometimes.

    I thought mercon v is not called for in the 95 to 97 cars. You can get mobil 1 synthetic that supports mercon and would be great long term.

    I would say that it is unlikely that Mobil 1 and a K&N filter would affect your car in any way.

    I used Hawk HPS pads on my Intrepid and they really performed so well; no noise or vibration. I'm going to try them on the Continental when the time comes.

    tie rod ends

    Hello, I just bought a 97 Continental in good shape. It needs tie rods. I'd like to do it myself. I was told that you have to drop the axles to get to the inner ones. Could someone send me info from a manual about doing that? The tie rods should be easy, but every car has its particulars...
