So the resonator tube for the intake on my v6 Lincoln has a small crack that was allowing too much air flow. Currently it's sealed with blue gasket sealer, but this is obviously temporary. My question is if anyone knows of a good aftermarket intake for the v6. So far the only one I've found is...
Just wanted to say that KS for the advice on the PCV valve Between it and the egr pressure sensor (as Napa had it) my car is now fully functional and runs great! Engine light is now off and isn't returning any codes! Thanks a lot!
Thank you for that, already have one in hand and ready to replace the broken one, so if everything else goes smoothly she'll be back together by the time I go to bed.
So today I began the process of tearing down my manifold in order to replace the PCV valve. Got the intake manifold off and a part on the back that's broken, and I have no idea what it's called. I'll provide a picture. Any help would be great.
Then I may go ahead and simply replace the PCV valve while I'm under there. It isn't exactly expensive and I'd rather go ahead and kill multiple birds whiten a single stone than have to tear in to it again.
In the mean time, let me ask this. Would the PCV valve or elbow also cause a rough idle during cold temperatures? During winter when I'd start my car and the engine was cold it would idle pretty rough. It would drive fine though, and the idle would smooth out once the car warmed up.
It will Rev up smoothly when the gas is applied, but occasionally will stick when I release the gas. I also suspect a possible vacuum leak as you stated. What and where is the IAC?
Just recently my car has started doing something odd. When I come to a stop, it will randomly Rev high and then shut off. Normally it runs great, no rough idle or anything but sometimes when I go to slow down it fights me and maintains a fairly high rpm (usually around 1500 or so). I believe...
So I went to the next town over and went ahead and grabbed everything I needed as far as plastic parts go. Got home and started tearing in to everything. Went to replace the radiator and found where my issues were. Apparently when I was replacing my thermostatic control for my electric fan and...
Guess it's a good thing I checked this before ordering that then. I'll throw down the extra money for that then. Also, I want to check my bleed line for the heater core and make sure it isn't gunked up, where exactly does it attach to?
Yeah I found the upper hose on Amazon. Same with the degas bottle. Seems like my best bet will be Amazon or ebay so far as my local part store is wanting almost double the price
Close. It's the upper radiator hose assembly. I did some cross referencing and I believe it's part number 8B502. It should come with two rubber hoses attached
It's fine, I'm just aggravated. Just left the part store and they looked at me like I was stupid. So my next question is this. The plastic... Hub I guess? That has the two larger hoses on it, at the top front of the engine, does it have an official name? What would I even tell the clerk to look for?
