Great to see your LS! And all those mods too. McClaren grill by chance? I had and sold about 4 of those. I had no idea how much they would be worth when I bought mine. Post more pictures and yes I avoid the facebook junk too but that is the world today. I had an 2005 STR! The 2006 and up did...

Know anything about a Lincoln mkz

I wanted a performance car so got a 2013 MKS Eco Boost. AWD, twin turbo with 365HP and way easy to tune!! Completely smokes any LS for sure! A twin to the SHO and it has no resale value at all so very cheap to buy. BUT as posted about be aware these are FWD cars with an added rear drive unit...

    Charging System Question

A lot of complication with a second battery and/or a second alternator? I would get the factory unit rebuilt with a higher output? Maybe a higher output alternator? Is 160 A enough? This one is listed for the 2000-2002 LS. V-8 Engine I think? 160A Alternator Cost of course is always a problem...

    LS vs Thunderbird Reliability Index

Yes I also am into classic T-Birds and as posted above they did not sell when new and then the old men that bought them thought they were buying a collector car (Which is is not...yet?). So not much use and they still try to sell them for WAY too much money so they don't really sell in the used...

    Gen 2 alternator on a Gen 1?

One suggestion is to consider getting your stock one rebuilt with a higher Amp output? See if any of the re-builders in your area offer that service. You did not put what engine you have so I am not sure what's available? . . .

    Alternator or battery?

I looked for a while to find mine and now there are a number of them that can read that low. But the price has gone up quite a bit on the one I use? I paid around a $100 but maybe you could find a used meter too? They are on EBay. GTC CM100. About $170 currently. I will say the ease of use and...

    Alternator or battery?

These parasitic drains are a real bear to find! As joegr mentions you need to get the car to go to sleep and then STAY asleep while you check the circuits for amperage. What I finally did was get a clamp on DC ammeter that reads down to .01 ma. (There are a number of these and I paid about $100...

    1982 help with timing/tdc/firing order

I don't know how much you know about cars?? Go back to the basic's?? Put no. 1 cylinder at TDC. The get the rotor inside the distributor to point at cylinder 1 on the cap. Then it comes down to having the right wires run to the right plugs. Do you know how to find TDC and no. 1 cylinder? And...

HELP! How do I R&R front anti sway bar (not the links) 98 Mark base

If you can't or won't DIY the repairs you will continually be at the mercy of whatever shop you take it to. No one cares about your car more than you do. To a shop your car is just another job. It's a simple job and please replace the end links AND the sway bar mounting bushings too since all...

    Pilot bearings

Yes and many more S-Types were sold with manual transmissions too. So they should be easy to find? But I have seen where Jaguar does not sell them separate from the flywheel too. . . .

High Beams and cluster indicator wont go off....

Just a note? On my 2003 V-8 sport I had a long running problem with the PS staying in high effort mode. Set a odd and uncommon code that no one could figure out. I took a guess and purchased a used FEM and had Lincoln install and program the FEM. Surprisingly it fixed my problem when Lincoln...
