    Just a "Big Thanks" thread

To everyone who's been here for a while, finding the good fixes, workarounds, and resources. To joegr for responding to my little questions. To Alax and others who actually tool up and fabricate parts. The car is in the shop now - finally! - for a bunch of suspension work. Originally the...

Rear lower control arm bushing replacement (pics)

Another question, something I just picked up on yesterday when I got the quote. Listed is "Tie Rod End, Rear, Outer, $155.99". Now I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer but I know I don't have tie rod ends on the rear of the car. He calls them that for whatever reason. I'm guessing he...

Rear lower control arm bushing replacement (pics)

Thanks, joegr. I called them and they said parts are out of stock but they get them 3-5 days after I place my order then about another 3-5 days to ship. Standard shipping is about $75 but that includes both uppers and both lowers. I can live with that -- my local quote for all 4 rear control...

What did you do to your LS today?

As far as oil and filters go, this website is a must read afaic. Lots of testing and analysis... http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/

Rear lower control arm bushing replacement (pics)

Can someone help me out here and let me know about their experience with fordpartsgiant.com ? I know it's been mention here before. I'm asking because they list the lower control arm - part# 6W4Z5500AA - for $131.33 each, which is a ton less than the $366.99 I was quoted locally. I'm a bit...

Rear lower control arm bushing replacement (pics)

Emailed my mechanic about this. He's dealt with Deutsche Parts before and is going to give them a call, just to see if they've had any issues. These would be a Godsend. From 2 lower rear control arms @ $367 each, to this? Like the old guy in Trading Places said...buy buy buy! EDIT: now if I...

    Painted grill

now see, this is the drawback with having a black car - you can't use black as an accent color.

is there anyone here that loves the quiet stock sound of the LS over loud exhuasts?

I don't mind the purr and growl of my stock exhaust, but if I have to start replacing I think I'd go with magna w/ the x-pipe. I haven't heard all the examples available though...what Alax talked about sounds intriguing. The LS deserves some thought when deciding on exhaust note.

That gunk comes from the underground tanks at the gas station. It typically settles but gets stirred up when the tanker delivers a load - hard to avoid but I don't get gas if I see the tanker there.

    Quik LS

Yeah. Just read the whole thread...made a lane change after just entering the highway and something gave way

What did you do to your LS today?

I pulled out of the garage and took note of the dryness of the floor -- no drips! (For the military-minded, no class 3 leaks) Doesn't take a lot to please me.

What did you do to your LS today?

That's an interesting thought that hadn't crossed my mind. A soft brake pedal is on my list of peeves.

What did you do to your LS today?

Heh yeah and it seemed like I was going insane. The problem was finding the correct part -- first 2 times we got the fan assy, then a p/s pump, and finally the correct pump. I guess the real lesson is that no matter much you trust a source, get pictures, documentation, whatever you need. What...

What did you do to your LS today?

I finally - finally! - found a pump for the hydraulic fan... 4th time's a charm! (isn't that what they say?) I should be leak free this weekend and can concentrate on suspension
