    'O3 Lincoln LS: cheap

Normally I would but he was a trained self-employed mechanic in a small town. He's been retired and has had poor health for quite a while now (80+ years old). I kept taking my cars to him for minor repairs b/c he's very poor. I can afford repair shops buy I wanted to help him. I'm 70. He's...

    'O3 Lincoln LS: cheap

Recently, a spark plug blew out of my engine. While a mechanic tried to rebore the threads his tool broke and fell into the cylinder. The head gasket will have to come off to get it out. I'm not going to pay to have that done. I bought another car. I'll take $100 for the car as it sits in...

    Battery's dead; can't open trunk (helpful tip)⅕

Recently, after closing my windows, I unintentionally left the key in the "on" position. The next morning the battery was drained. I couldn't open the trunk to get to the battery. I found a few solutions on this site but none appealled to me. An 85 year old man (personal friend) who has...

    EFC Engine Failsafe Mode

I looked for an ABS module at AutoZone (local purchase), Rock Auto, and Automatrix but none had the module. Ebay had some used ones but w/o AdvanceTrac. After the mechanic runs the pinpoint tests and he tells me that's what I need, any suggestions where I could buy it?

    EFC Engine Failsafe Mode

I stopped by the garage but they didn't have time to print the codes. Where can I purchase the adapter? Online? AutoZone had something called iDrive that connects to your phone but they were not familiar with Forscan.

    EFC Engine Failsafe Mode

I'll try to get all of the codes when I go back to the garage today. If I get them I'll post them later this evening. I gotta go to HS football practice now. One of the codes from the AutoZone code reader said "Throttle Actuator Control System-Forced Limited RPM."

    EFC Engine Failsafe Mode

After seeing this warning message (EFC Engine Failsafe Mode) in my 2003 Lincoln LS 3.9, I changed the cheaper part the code reader identified: "Throttle Actuator Control System - Forced Limited Power". After I changed it the same warning message appeared. The code reader still indicated the...
