    Rear Wheel Bearing

To see if the sound moves. I had a noisy front tire that I thought was the wheel bearing.

Yet another ETC Engine Failsafe Mode thread

What was the reasoning for the new PCM before? A lot of variables here. Have you done a look over of the harness / wiring, corrosion on fuses or grounds?

Have you moved the wheels around?

    Extra hp?

I seem to be in the minority of Mustang owners. I had a modded 2013-2014 Mustang try to incite a race the other day being a real di**. Almost as bad as the Mopar guys around Detroit, it's like I'm getting hunted down. I couldn't hook up if I needed to with my Blizzaks and the 10 speed anyway. ;)

    Extra hp?

IMO keeping up a high mileage gen 1 is nearly a fruitless effort now a days. Just drive it and take it one day at a time. I'm astonished when I see one on the road - between the cooling system, tensioners, transmission etc. And I would let an LS beat my Coyote, not worth the ticket.

Out of ideas, can't fix ETC Failsafe.. Please help.

^ I'd gamble it's the non Ford coils. Certainly seems like taking the tune off is your cheaper elimination action followed by sending your PCM in.

    Sold it.

Did you disclose all the problems, or did they find any? Unfortunately for me, only Car-rites are in my area. I was going to take it for an appraisal after the said dealership looked at it. This dealer mentioned it only needed new "struts". In reality, it probably needs a entire rear-end...

    Official LS Picture Thread

I sure hope not. They are also advertising $65/month payments on it..

    Sold it.

For reference I got $1.5k at a dealer for a 2003 v8 with 100K. It needed at least $1,000 of work. They immediately put it on the lot for $5.8k, without fixing anything. I assumed I could get $3k on Craigslist, it just wasn't worth the hassle and time lost for me.

    Official LS Picture Thread

Man bigrig did your LSs multiply? Glad to see all the regulars still around. Ended up trading mine in last weekend (for practically nothing), I'm starting to miss it. Fun fact, the dealer is selling it for $400 more than I paid for it in 2012..

2003 lincoln ls hanger barring swap

Seems the exhaust is in the way to check anything easily.

2003 lincoln ls hanger barring swap

Anyone have experience with this? I'm still living with the thud, hopefully not damaging anything else. A friend with the same symptoms brought it to a dealer who replaced the differential for $1,100. Hoping that's not the case here. Wish I had time to bring it in.

What did you do to your LS today?

Hoping to let go of it, had some family come look today. If nothing happens, would like LVC to have dibs (rather than dealing with drug dealers and 15 year olds on Craigslist again..).

Gen II V8 Sport - replaced rear lateral toe links

I remember someone mentioning on here that Deeza did stop making them. DP links are junk. I wouldn't worry about the non passive steer. OEM seems the way to go. My Deeza links showed surface rust a few months after installation, also looks like the rubber boot deteriorated.

What did you do to your LS today?

Had a strange experience today. Was going through a deepish snow drift. Had momentum so I didn't bother turning traction control off. I was about half throttle (with traction control activating) and the car stalled. It started back up fine, but I was very stuck.. Anyway, not sure what...

2003 lincoln ls hanger barring swap

Pretty sure I have a carrier bearing problem. I've been driving with it for a few months now. How urgent should this be on my priorities? Really just want to sell or trade in, debating on if the repair would be worth it.

Did I Mention I Hate Car Dealers?

    LS as a patrol car

I had the sound on a -5 degree day in the winter. Guess I'll have to keep a new alternator on the back of my mind.

Overheating again! & replaced all plastic parts

Because it's overheating? Sounds like aux pump, air in the cooling system, a leak, and/or a mixture of that. Pressure testing the system won't find the cracks that happen when the system expands, I wouldn't take a pressure test too seriously.
