By not replacing my tires before they became slicks. Replaced the fronts not too long ago because I had staggered setup and took too long to replace rears.
Yeah, it's been welded before, so I'm not so confident about it being able to be repaired again. I bought them from mlara and I think he told me it's been repaired before but it's been so long I can't remember.
Not a rack, but I use this mount. http://www.amazon.com/Allen-Sports-Compact-Folding-1-Bike/dp/B004C94X12/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1406604085&sr=8-3&keywords=car+bike+mount
It hasn't been a hassle to throw on and take off when I've been in a rush. I guess it wouldn't beat having a rack though.
Not sure on the quality.

I know for sure the harmonic balancer was replaced. Until now I thought the two were seperate parts. Maybe it was the idler pulley he also said needed to be replaced. I wish I could remember and I doubt I could find the receipt. I love the LS, which is why I own another one, but I've been losing...
Are they the same or two seperate parts because if they're both one in the same I'm gonna have to have a little chit chat with my mechanic...
I can't remember, but I swear he had me pay for two separate parts. I'm talking about the biggest pulley in the lower middle btw.
