So why is the fastest N/A Mark VIII slower than the fastest 4.6 N/A T-Bird?

That chart also says that the '97-'98 Mark VIIIs took 10% of the weight off the front of the car, I don't believe that.

    Cams

I know about the Mod engines. I was just saying that people don't understand that Ford switched to the updated casting in '03 for all of the DOHC engines besides the GT. While the Aviator intake is the best stock intake on the market right now, it is too tall for use in the Mark VIII unless...

    Cams

I've had people try to say they're better than the Cobra, Mach 1, and Marauder castings, which just isn't true.

Pure evil, dressed in a tuxedo. I love that car.

    Cams

That's my basic plan for down the road. No Aviator intake, though, they're just too tall. I'm gonna go for either FR500 cams or the Crower Stage IIs. I don't understand why people are saying the Aviator heads are the best, there's been a couple people try and tell me that and then won't listen...

    Everybody, Post your Wheels

18"x8.5" ADR Sterlings. The Stern ST-1 was my second choice.

Mark VIII with a short wheel base (pics)

Did you look at the pictures? It shows the whole process. I think it's a little hard to "fake" the pictures where the car is cut up.

Optical illusion? No, look again. Definately a short wheelbase.

Are you trying to get rid of the HIDs and the halogen housings?

WTB: 1st Gen Mark VIII HID Set

I'm looking for a set of HIDs in good working order for a first gen. I don't have nearly $1k to spend, so I'm not looking for something perfect, just working. I'd really like to get them before I make the 1500 mile trek back to WA state from AZ, as it was somewhat scary driving at night on the...

    Top speed

Mine has hit 132 a few times, which I believe is the normal limit for all non LSC Mark VIIIs. The LSCs poop out at somewhere around 118 due to the 3.27 gears.
