    Didn't see this one coming....

I'd go to an independent glass shop with good reviews that stands behind their work, as a courtesy I wouldn't try to watch them do the work, that's what they do for a living, leave them to it. I know I personally do NOT like customers watching me fix their cars and hovering. However that's just...

    dumb question

Non-directional, same size tires and rims I always go modified x pattern.... both fronts go straight back, and both back tires cross sides and go on the fronts. On my 4v swap Thunderbird even with same size tires and same size rims with non-directional tread I don't rotate them at all. I go...

    bad newz alternators dead

I was going to buy a used one from the junkyard but ordered a DBelectrical alt instead, so far after many 6500 rpm shifts and daily driving it still puts out 14v's at idle without accessories on and 13.4 at night with all accessories on.

Odd gen 1 intake manifold measurement request

Thank you JP that would be a big help to me.

Odd gen 1 intake manifold measurement request

String and a tape measure would be enough for approximate runner length for what I need. However I will need the short and long runner lengths.

Odd gen 1 intake manifold measurement request

No one has a gen1 intake off a car that they could take measurements of?

Odd gen 1 intake manifold measurement request

I would like to know what are the diameters of tubes for the upper part of the gen 1 intake manifold as well as the lengths of the primary and secondary tubes. If anyone could post up that information it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Chris_Murder

Whats the difference between this and an 80MM LMAF dyno tuned? Out of curiosity.

    IAC Valve

That's not OEM as in Original Equipment Manufacture (FORD) that's OEM the brand (Original Engine Management) they make sub par knock off parts. They are closely related if not the same company as O.E. which makes horrible eBay suspension components.

KOOKS headers and 98 cobra intake swap

Depends if his state requires a visual inspection of emissions devices for tampering. Here in Nevada for example if a 95 or older vehicle, or 96+ heavy duty vehicle was physically missing any devices... (air injection, egr, cats, fuel restrictor, gas cap) or if they appear to be not functional...

    Project completed

Thank you, I tried to keep it all very "clean". I'm hoping to go COP eventually as well as relocating the battery to the truck to clean up the engine bay a bit more. Thanks I think?

    need 96 heads

You could port the alum IMRC's into ovals and weld in extra and rework those into adapters I guess.... if your that into the look of the B head cobra intake and really really want C heads.

    need 96 heads

Yes, ford had B heads on Conti's then put C heads on and used the same B intake but made those adapters to mount the OLD B head intake to the C heads. These adapters mate C heads to OLD (gen1) B head intakes. Not newer gen2 B head intakes. Your on the right track... I suppose I'll post...

    need 96 heads

Hope that puts things in better perspective. If not I can get you pictures illustrating the intake side and head side of each respective piece.

    need 96 heads

I assure you that the bottom part is the conti adapter. It's dirty, but note it does have the injector boss moved, and the upper intake ports taper to an oval.

    need 96 heads

Wouldn't work, they need a gen1 style "B" upper intake, not a gen2/cobra style "B" intake. Here's a photo comparing the gen1 mark vac operated IMRC to the conti "C" head to gen1 "B" intake

I've got the cold start woes....

My tuning was done by Don Lasota @lasota racing. I seriously doubt it is a tuning issue, I'm starting to believe it's a mechanical/electrical problem like a bad ground or bad pcm. No the mark harness doesn't plug right into anything. The 97 4.6 sohc thunderbird harness has to have 3 wires...

Yes, exactly right, and it drives me bonkers.
