New way to stop the noobs from saying the search didnt work.

Agree and it's hard to convince folks the search function has flaws. Also, even if you do read everything you can dig up on here but you still don't find the exact answer to your specific question, they will jump on you anyway for asking. Seems some folks assume their discussions on any...

Sources for the ext door handles?

Thanks goes to 98lincmk7lsc. He had a set of nice chrome handles sitting on my doorstep within 2 days. Saved me a lot of searching around at yards or whatnot.

PM sent on the chrome handles. Just to be certain these are outside handles correct?

Sources for the ext door handles?

OK, I just found out the hard way about the sticking door gaskets and I reckon I reached the time limit on the drivers door handle. Anyone know good sources for replacements (98 LSC)? I looked on FleeceBay and Geez, 60 bucks for used ones????? Mine is white, but I really don't care...

Saw a beautiful black Mark on Hwy 90 - Taylor Co. GA

Well dang, I know exactly where both Taylor County and Warner Robins are as I am in Perry. Our 98 Mark is white however.

Why Isn't it legal to kill the Stupids?

Around here, that's probably just some doctor headed home from the office.

    inconsiderate idiots

I wouldn't respond to that Ed. Not worth it and wouldn't do any good anyway. Lots of other sites out there and most of them have more rules than this place does. The friendlier local sites I frequent, a personal attack like that would get you banned on the spot.

    inconsiderate idiots

Well if this story is true, the lady probably has a good idea of who messed with her car. And there probably aren't that many Marks around to search for. Not only that but suppose there are surveilance cams around the place? Taking matters into your own hands over something like this is not...

    Alignment Parameters please

I have a followup question on this subject. I just replaced all the front ball joints and struts then got an alignment on my 98. The "after" printout from the shop now shows green for all four wheels. And comparing the numbers to the shop manual specs someone posted on here, they ARE pretty...

    LVC i need your help!

Mine had a sporadic gas fumes (more noticable in the back seat) and the problem turned out to be one of the connections on the fuel pump had rusted loose. We discovered this when the car died for good and we were replacing what we thought was a bad fuel pump. Pump is mounted into the top of...

    Search tip

Nah, no need. This was already mentioned on here 6 years ago, near the end of a 5 page post about the modifications someone was working on their Humvee. Everyone who was in the first grade back then already knows this and all the new first graders can go to the library. :D:D:D

    Search tip

Good tip. And you are very correct about the search functions within this forum. Very hit and miss. A lot of the searches I tried on here turned up no results or spotty results, even with obvious keywords you know for a fact are there.

East coast/ Mid Atlantic folks: $700 97 base

Wonder if he checked how much fuel pressure? When mine quit starting I thought it was the fuel pump "weak" or something, if that's even possible. It pumped a little gas but obviously not enough to fire up. When we dropped the tank, we found one of the little screws rusted and broken on the...

    lies

I assume it is the same most everywhere, but around here most of the independent used car places deal in the cars that the major dealerships (Ford, Toyota, etc) don't want to fool with. They will take them in on trade on a newer car (for below wholesale) then wholesale them over to the...

    Cb

This thread is a laugh riot.... especially for someone who was 21 during the height of the cb craze in the 70s. But I can identify with what the OP is seeking. There are still a lot of truckers using CB or GMR bands just for companionship on the highway. I believe many of these hand held...

    Ya reckon these are shot??

Yes, that is what I used, ratcheting 18mm. But I was forced to move the master cylinder before using it... :):):) Mine did not have the ratcheting open end feature though.

    Ya reckon these are shot??

Not saying much, but you are a better mechanic than me then, Bad97. Between the brake reservoir, the close by hood support and the sharp angle of the fender well between the two. I could not get a hold on the nut in a way to achieve any rotation whatsoever. Not with a box end, open end or...
