i get this to, but only when doing highway, and doing it for more than an hour or so. It shifts hard just like you said,but if you leave it for w few hours it goes back to normal. I have been driving like this for over 8000kms, and if you get it scanned it will say TORQUE CONVERTER IN OFF POSITION.

Talking on the phone I put water into the Power steering section instead of the windshield washer,so my question is what fluid do I need to replace it with,any power steering fluid,or special ford one?and how where is the pump located,i cant find it even following the hose.:confused:

when u find the problem,go to STANDARD AUTOWREKERS and try to find it there for cheap :D.

Im driving like that now as well, but didnt they make u fix it for safety reasons before the trade in? so it is an ABS sensor?

I am 18, have a red 1998 conti with 263500 kms,cross drilled brakes front,but tranny has the torque converter off code.Still love it.

I got some cross drilled rotors for the fron from TUTU auto here in Toronto,but chek them on ebay or just email them,however don user their pads,they squeeq. braking performance is muuuuuch better,and they look awsome.
