    Electrical Trouble

Thanks so much guys. I had the electrical system checked and the battery was almost dead, which makes me wonder how it started and ran so well. The alternator is fine. I definitely saw some whacky things with the gauges and lights but all is fine now. Thanks again, Mark C.

    Electrical Trouble

Hi Guys, I have a 2001 V6 with 174,000 miles. When I start the car after sitting overnight, the head and signal lights flicker like when the car is locked and the final door gets shut. Also my radio pre-set stations are all lost, etc. The car starts and runs fine with no battery light on so I...

YAY "Check Transmission" With the infamous "E"

I just got the "E" at 120,000 miles. The local trans shop pulled the codes for free and replaced the solenoid pack and the valve body for $620 including new fluid and filter. Popping noise in front end..

HyeLifeLS is on track here I think. I had the pops in the front end. At the advise of a shop I replaced the front bearing hubs ($225), and still the pops. I thought it was the lower ball joints but decided to replace the sway bar mounting bushings ($20) and now it's all quiet. Not an easy job...

2000 LS front bearing hub separation

I just did mine. The driver side just fell out and I thought no problem. The passenger side would not move. No amount of wedging with a large screwdriver helped. My friend used a BFH (big freeking hammer) and beat on the back of the bearing. We turned the wheels as far as they would go and...
