Im going to go ahead and have my mechanic look at replacing the timing chains. Don't really see the point of getting a whole new engine, spending XXXX amount of money on a used engine and paying for install. Thanks to all that gave me advice on my LS problems. I just pulled a coil pack and left the plug in it, its getting spark but not a very big one but there is spark. My mechanic said that if there is spark its the timing chains. If there is no spark, its computer or ignition problems.

Car is paid off and in excellent condition. I have someone that is willing to fix it but not sure how much that is going to cost.

My throttle sticks every once and a while, usually at start up. Once i had to shut it off cuz it was reving up to 3,000 rpm. Any advice or similar problems. Also....cruise control. All jacked up! Cancel is set....Set is Resume...off is accelerate. Have to push on 2 or 3 times to get it to work...

Replace all and if you are mechanically inclined change them all yourself!! Save the money and get them on ebay. My lincoln just turned 200,000!! Still rollin! Might be cat problem too...had those replace, got em on ebay too!

My 2000 LS V8 has a high idle or sometimes the throttle sticks while drivn thru town, happens every once and a while. When in park rpm's are up around 3,000. Any body got any thing similar??
