yes you can just drain the pan by removing the larger plug but you must remove the little torx in the center of the larger plug to fill the transmission you actually fill it from the right hand side of the tail stock on the rear and there are directions how to do it stamped on...

ive had this problem ..got it changed at the dealer and it cost me $1500 because the front side of that line joins under the car and you cant get the 2 lines apart

you mean the ground wire that is comming off the battery to the inside of the trunk.........i have checked that and cleaned it ....and even went as far as cleaning the battery posts on the new battery and the clamps......the problem is still there
