Figured it out, it’s the PCM, the people I ordered it from sent me defective/incorrect unit and are refusing to fix it or return it So note to those looking for a PCM DO NOT BUY from “the ECU Connection” Dishonest scumbags.

Update: I discovered I may have received the wrong PCM. I ordered 4w4a-12a650-AAA But my scanner shows the part number as 4w4a-12a650-BUB I’m not sure if this would cause my problem, does anyone here know what the difference between these part numbers is, or if it could cause issues?

Update: I got back home and had a chance to scan the codes again. Here are the codes I got with FORScan: PCM P1572-FF EATC B1263 MC U1262 IC U1041 B1875 U1262 GEM B1794

I’m using a laptop with FORScan or a smaller Bluetooth scanner depending on the day. I know I can see all the codes that show up, I’ll check again as soon as I can drive it more and see if anything comes up. As for the service manuals I have the full set with the exception of the emissions manual.

All of the other steering wheel buttons and horn work fine, so I’m thinking it’s not the clock spring.

Hello again, recently I had to replace the PCM in my 04 LS V8 after it died on me one day. After sorting all that out I find out that my cruise control is no longer working, not lighting up at all and no related codes from what I can tell. Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue...

Well, I’ve replaced the balancer now, and I decided to go ahead and reseal the timing cover while I was in there. Removing and replacing the balancer wasn't too difficult, I was able to get the old one off without removing the oil cooler. I replaced it with a new dayco balancer from rockauto...
