    Select Shift Trans

The 1st Gens were setup to start in 2nd to help with fuel mileage. It's no problem. Starting from 2nd in SST is quicker anyway because there's significant lag on the 1-2 shift. There is enough torque to spin the tires from second.

What did you do to your LS today?

Yeah, my front ceramic pads had big cracks in them and were totally glazed. I'm sure that happened when I bedded them in. I won't do that again with ceramics. My new semi metallic pads don't even have the split.

What did you do to your LS today?

This is a week late because I couldn't get on Tapatalk. Last week, I tackled brake pads and nearly died. For a long time I had virtually no brakes because front pads were cooked. I chose semi metallic vs ceramic this time. What a difference! I don't brake heavy often but, when I do, I will cook...

2003 Lincoln LS V8 Overheating Problem Solved

That's right. 750 KPG. Big is in Canada. Now, I've got pics to prove it. This pic was taken on a run avg about 80-85 mph on the way home from a funeral I did about 26.7 mpg from Waycross, GA to St Petersburg, FL. Sent from my E6853 using Tapatalk

2003 Lincoln LS V8 Overheating Problem Solved

I can get 750 per tank in mine. The problem is the sweet spot is faster than the speed limit. Sent from my E6853 using Tapatalk

2003 Lincoln LS V8 Overheating Problem Solved

Yeah, don't do that. It really sucks these cars have no cooling margin whatsoever. Too bad it couldn't be air cooled. Thinking about it, the air cooled Porsches are not made any more. It's all about emissions nowadays. Sent from my E6853 using Tapatalk

    Waiting Room

I saw my first 2017 MKz in the wild last night. It was a 2.0T with thick and thin pen stripes on the side and on the hood. It was that color like cashmere but darker and a little more gold. The stripes looked to be burgundy or brown. Chrome wheels and grille. Sent from my E6853 using Tapatalk

Gen II V8 Sport - replaced rear lateral toe links

Many people forget about tire pressure when it comes to this. That makes a huge difference including the amount of roll during acceleration. Because it's so close to 50/50, increasing tire pressure will make the whole car more responsive and limit the onset of yaw. This is up to a point...

What did you do to your LS today?

To be honest, I was planning on the change after a year but health issues and the heat caused the delay. That was the first time I used the 15,000 mile oil and it was the 0w20 variant. I won't use that again. I agree, 2 years is too long. Sent from my E6853 using Tapatalk

What did you do to your LS today?

Well, I would hope it would last longer than 6 months. Maybe we don't need filters anymore. The oil was quite clean. I guess I went 18 months with basically no oil filtration. Sent from my E6853 using Tapatalk

What did you do to your LS today?

I finally got to an oil change after 2 years and 18,800 miles. The oil was still clean! The Wix oil filter has done it's job very well. Sent from my E6853 using Tapatalk
