problem codes with Lincoln LS

I just got my car back from the shop where i had the some ignition coils replaced. About 3 days later my engine light came on. The codes i received are P0171-System too lean bank 1, P0174 sys too lean bank 2, and P0401 EGR flow insufficient. The engine idles really strong at startup then decreases to normal. Otherwise, everything else is ok. Can someone tell me what the problem is? Thanks.

if you're running too lean i'd check the fuel pressure first. it might just be a fuel filter.... they're easy to replace.

would that cause the EGR code as well?

Probably not. I would check all the connections to the EGR and make sure the shop didn't leave one off or loose.

yep - the vacuum line off the back of the egr - would cause both a lean condition and the egr not to open....
