U.S. measles cases hit highest level in 33 years, CDC reports​


The U.S. has reported 1,288 measles cases this year — the highest number in 33 years, according to the latest figures from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The last time the U.S. saw more measles cases was in 1992, eight years before the disease was declared eliminated in the country.

"We're seeing a lot more measles transmission than we are used to," says Caitlin Rivers. She's the director of the Center for Outbreak Response Innovation at Johns Hopkins University, which has its own measles dashboard. -snip



Secretary of Health Robert F Kennedy Jr. and President Trump have succeeded in effectively bringing back measles in America after it was eradicated decades ago. What a feat! So much MAGA right here.

Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) said Sunday that the Senate version of President Trump’s massive spending bill “will betray the very promise” the president made when he pledged not to interfere with people’s Medicaid benefits.



Millions of Trumpers on Medicaid who voted for Trump because he promised to not cut Medicaid, now at risk in losing their benefits, when they knew Trump was a proven pathological liar all along. Whomp, whomp.

Trumper also thinks Trump voters on Medicaid, Medicare and SNAP will somehow be magically shielded from Trump's massive social cuts to fund his second round of tax cuts to billionaires. LoL.

El-Oh-El, they're mostly conservative Latinos in that district, they knew Trump's horrible views on Latinos and that Trump's a pathological liar when they voted in 2024.

I do feel bad for the children though that will suffer here, it's not their fault their parents are Trumpers.
