yeah i was thinking about starting out with some bigger pipes.
i was going to have dual exhaust right before the rear tires.
i want to some loud sh!t
that's why i was thinking about getting some mustang long headers, and taking the cats off and doing straight pipes.
i have an '87 lincoln town car with single exhaust.
i would like to put headers and dual exhaust.
can't really find much for town cars.
can i put mustang 5.0 302 headers on?
they have many more options for mustangs.
can i use mustang parts?
or any 302 parts for that matter?
is an 87...
i get about 16-18 anywhere i go.
I'm glad to see everyone else average that too.
26+ MPG's is a fib.
no 'effin way man.
BETTER QUESTION!! what's the average price per gallon in your hood?
mine: $2.75
and that's regular 87.. i don't buy into that premium fuel BS.
my car runs on the...
hotrod's right. get an air-ride. (at leats for your rear)
it would be cheaper to find an old one off of a crown vic/towncar.
but you always can go over the top with air bags and spend a small fortune making it crazy.
if money isn't an issue for you, i say just juice the motherfucher...
O.G. JBL system with a ford tape deck son!!!
oh yeah, i have the tape on a string that connects to my disc-man.
crucial clarity man!
im serious. for real.
I have a haynes manual for my 1987 town car. and it says remove the bezel and unscrew the retaining screws...
and that's about it.
(and on top of that the model they illustrate has two round headlights,
mine are two rectangular lights, no flip up sh!t, stationary.)
so i can see the...
I have an '87 too and i have 15" deep dish wires on it now. but i was actually thinking of getting 20" wires for it. I'm not to big into the oversized rim sh!t but you've got a point about the towncar being able to accommodate a big rim. it doesnt look that out of place like some cars do.
it...
that's what i was thinking.
but the earliest aftermarket mustang air intake i can find is for 89-93 models.
would that fit on my 87 town car?
the 89-93 is for the 5.0... so i assume it's the same set up.
here's a picture of the 89-93 mustang 5.0 cold air intake.
i have an '87 town car and i just finished putting new front and rear shocks.
i bought Monroe gas-matic shocks. they retailed at $14.44 a piece. and they came with all the washers, bolts and bushings you need.
i don't have an air-ride or auto leveling rear, so i suppose this made the job...
I'm going to have to replace all 4 shocks on my '87 town car.
is this going to be harder than i expect.. or should the shocks come right out with no problems and go back in with the slightest of ease?
i really hope it's not that hard of a job.
