hotrod's right. get an air-ride. (at leats for your rear) it would be cheaper to find an old one off of a crown vic/towncar. but you always can go over the top with air bags and spend a small fortune making it crazy. if money isn't an issue for you, i say just juice the motherfucher...

that's what i was thinking. but the earliest aftermarket mustang air intake i can find is for 89-93 models. would that fit on my 87 town car? the 89-93 is for the 5.0... so i assume it's the same set up. here's a picture of the 89-93 mustang 5.0 cold air intake.

i have an '87 town car and i just finished putting new front and rear shocks. i bought Monroe gas-matic shocks. they retailed at $14.44 a piece. and they came with all the washers, bolts and bushings you need. i don't have an air-ride or auto leveling rear, so i suppose this made the job...

I'm going to have to replace all 4 shocks on my '87 town car. is this going to be harder than i expect.. or should the shocks come right out with no problems and go back in with the slightest of ease? i really hope it's not that hard of a job.

i had the same problem in my '87 towncar, and it turned out to be a short in one of the wires in the dome light. so maybe it might be the same for you.. although it didn't affect my door locks, just all the courtesy lights and what not.

i have an 87 towncar also, and i had the same problem with the headlights/interior lights. the switch that ford used is flimsy plastic that breaks easily. if you replace that knob it may eliviate your problem. by the way do you have a digital dash, or mechanical?
