    V8 coil packs on V6

The V6 coils look better than the V8's well at least they appear to help keep water out a little better with the top ring on the coil.

Lol! So I started to replace my plugs today on my LS what a pain and I have only done the pasenger side so I am sure I am in for a treat on the driver's side as it looks even tighter. Upon removing the plugs today 4 of them I had 2 NGK Iridium pugs, 1 Autolite Platinum plug and 1 Bosch Platinum...

Why do the V8 coils fail? A few thoughts...

He didn't test the plugs to my knowledge. He asked me if they engine had been washed recently and it had ben when they fixed my thermostat housing. So I should check around the cowl as well then? Andhe was just basing the wrong spark plug based on it not being motorcraft. And no other dealer...

Why do the V8 coils fail? A few thoughts...

I had my car at the dealership on Friday due to a misfire and he spoke about the coils. He said the new coils are much better than the old motorcraft coils but he told me that if I change the plugs to make sure and use Motorcraft plugs. I had planned on using NGK Iridiums is that a bad idea? I...

2005 LS V8 175,000 Km Thermostat housing broke

If I didn't live in a condo where we aren't allowed to work on cars I may have tried this on my own but having said that I bet if you took 100 random people and said your on the highway 45 miles from home and your car is smoking and over heating that 99 would have it towed to a shop.

    Key Fob Replacement

I have had the key now for about 4 months and use it every day. It has held up great so far but I don't have any knowledge beyond that. I figured at least there was a 60 day return policy so if I didn't like it or didn't feel it would hold up I could just return it lol.

2005 LS V8 175,000 Km Thermostat housing broke

Well unfortunately I had to have the car towed to my mechanic. The thermostat burst which caused the thermostat housing to crack as well. Now they are suggesting a new water pump because they are worried about metal fragments in the water pump. And because I live in Canada parts are very...
