    03-06 armrest re-cover - how to remove?

Yeah, but most of the uncracked genII lids I saw online were $80+, didn't really want to pay that for a used top. I figured I'd do it right and pamper my elbow :)

    03-06 armrest re-cover - how to remove?

Thanks! After drilling one rivet out I realized I could yank off the existing leather, lift the foam, and just snip off the rivets from the top. That was a bit easier. Unfortunately the leather skin I bought off eBay is too small to properly wrap it around the armrest frame--seems designed to...

Painted the plastic windshield trim today. Huge difference.

Wow that looks pretty good! Was it easy to put the weather stripping back in?

    03-06 armrest re-cover - how to remove?

My center console armrest "leather" is cracked and blah. I'm trying to take off all the plastic mechanism so I can pull off the old leather, or at least be able to cleanly tuck in the new leather. I took off all the torx screws I can see (27!) but now I'm stuck and can't separate the leather...

    No Deneau???

Happy to help. Web host changed server IPs or something and screwed up. I only pay $6/year so you get what you pay for I guess... :p The webpages come from the 05-06 Ford-Lincoln-Mercury Windows repair manual program, I got it from a site which is now dead but you can find torrents for it or...

    No Deneau???

I didn't know it was down. Nobody sent me a PM haha. Account should be in good standing, so I don't know why it says that---I opened a ticket with the webhost. (And yeah if LvC wants to host a copy of the manual too, contact me admins. I can zip up the pages I have online and send them over or...

Does anyone else find the front seats uncomfortable?

I think the seat bottom feels narrow on long trips, like my thighs rest too much on the bolsters. Not very forgiving of manspreading. Or maybe I just have a fat ass...

What did you do to your LS today?

New coils and plugs. I only got 35k on the old Visteon coils until it starting misfiring. (Original motorcrafts lasted 40k). I went with the cheapo eBay coils this time. Car runs great again but we'll see how long they last!

    Waiting Room

I noticed a Lincoln popup tent near my office today, they had a few new cars lined up and were doing test drives, so I walked over to check it out. The rep asked what I drive currently, I said "Lincoln LS". She replied "What's that? Do you mean Lexus LS?" :( :( :(

    Aftermarket A/C Compressor success?

My A/C compressor is dying, leaking oil. Dealer quoted almost $2200 for the repair!! I said no thanks. $1800 of that is just parts! Of course that's all MSRP + markup... I see Rockauto is about $700 for Motorcraft (compressor+drier+hose+etc), $300 for other brands. Has anyone used...

    Dang Oil Leak

Where was your leak? I just noticed mine is leaking somewhere around the filter or oil cooler. Accessory belt has been squeaky on cold mornings but this morning it was mysteriously quiet... turns out oil started spraying on it to lubricate it!

    Car

The Superbowl Kia K900 ad reminded me of this, the luxurious D900!! :D (I think K900 is a pretty lame model name... Of course "LS" ain't so great either) Here's a video link that still works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QRA1N2yBQw

What make/model did someone mistake your LS for?

I'm at the Ford dealer getting 60k mi service. Service advisor asks: "This is a Fusion, right?" "no" "uh, Taurus?" "no" (silence) (sigh) :bash: "It's a Lincoln LS"
