As far as I know the oil stab doesn't change the oils weight. I will call lucas oil to Ask them. All I know is if I run what I am doing now for oil my mpg gos up by 1.5 on average over not useing lucas and castrol synthetic.

98 lsc i use gatrol gtx full synthetic, with one quart of lucas synthetic oil stab. and a K&n oil filter.
