I completely agree, the G8 looks bland in pictures, but awesome in person. Everytime I see one on the road, I stare. Very muscular design. I'm not really feeling the wheels (maybe a combo of gunmetal on that blue?), but still a sweet car.

Thanks for the replies everyone. A "beater" is not really an option for me right now, unfortunately. So I'm getting pretty mixed answers on the lowering though....some are fine, some wouldn't even think about it. Keep the comments coming though, good stuff. My last car was lowered 1.25"...

So for those of you that are lowered, have you noticed a significant difference with winter/snow driving? Other than the fact that the front of the car is lower and going to plow more snow than stock height (assuming the snow is even that deep), I can't think of any other negative effects...

That paint job is absolutely terrible. The orange peel is out of control. No painter that takes his job seriously would give work like that back to his customer. Go ahead and say I'm "hating," as you might say it, but reality is, that's a garbage paint job.

So much for being humble.....nice CL, but that model year S class easily gets lost in the crowd. Pretty boring styling.

Hate to tell you, but OEM is not 6000k, it's 4300k (same as every other OEM hid system). Mixing color temps is going to look pretty weird. Also, our cars use D2R bulbs (reflector), not sure why your description has every type of hid bulb listed. Anyway, no, you can easily do it yourself. I...
