Sounds as though they are not getting enough power. enough to ignite or flicker but not enough to keep the ballast powered. Did you run relay's/harnes's for your power?

You can do a little rewireing to make this happen. You can get fancy, also the correct way, and put a relay in line with your dims to power your fogs. Can also put a diode in line with said relay to make it so you can turn just your fogs on without triggering the dims. That way you could run...

When painting that chrome plastic crap its best to have a shop do it if you don't have any experiance with paint. You can get the paint code from your car, I believe its in the door jam, and have a place make up a rattle can as well. Remember its all about the prep work when painting black...

Check out a vendor here, http://www.lskoncepts.com/store/, or you could do what a lot of people do, along with myself and just paint the front and rear surrounds. With proper prep work, paint will last you a while.

I bought my LS a little over a year ago with a "clean" car fax, since, I've had it repainted because the whole driver side was in some sort of accident, the front end was also damaged and the car seems to have a small twist in it.
