    Whumped Deer- Need Grill

I hit a deer this morning. I must have whumped it at 20 mph, so the car took a lick. Knocked the poor thing 10 feet into the air. Only visible damage is a broken hood grill. Bummer. I am looking for a 2000-2002 LS sport grill (chrome with black waterfall). Any one have a used one that they...

    Tail Lens LINCOLN LS removal

I did a search on the forum on this question but came up empty handed. Maybe I didn't ask the right question. I have a 2002 LS with the LINCOLN and LS letters on the tail lens. Has anyone successfully removed the LINCOLN and LS letters from these tail lens? If so, what was the procedure and...

    Rim Width

Sorry for another wheel question, but I haven't seen too much discussion on rim width, mostly diameter. What rim width (front and rear) can the LS handle without the need for fender rolling? I am considering widening my stock 17" 5-spoke rims out to 8.5 or 9 inches on the rear, and...

215/55R17 Winter Tires on stock rims?

According to the Tire Rack website (www.tirerack.com), a 215/55 x17 winter tire will fit on a 6" - 7.5" rim width.

Ronal R-28 Wheel Question (another one!)

I hate to post another "...will this fit question", but before I invest in new wheels and tires, I thought I'd ask anyway: I have a 2002 V-6/5-spd with Eiback Pro-sport springs, stock 7.5 x17 wheels and stock 235/50R15 tires. I am looking at the Ronal R-28 rims (8.5 x 17) and want to...

    Painful Video

From the IIHS site: Three aspects of frontal crashworthiness are assessed in the Institute's 40 mph frontal offset crash test: how well each vehicle's structural design (front-end crumple zone and safety cage) prevents intrusion into the occupant compartment; injury risk measured on a Hybrid...

    Chiltons Manual...? 2002 LS V8

Watch ebay. I recently purchased a two volume set of the factory manuals for ~$70 which is half of the Helms retail for them. I was fortunate that I got my particular year version, but I would think there is little difference between 2000 and the 2003 versions.

    Another LS Suspension Question

Ken, Thanks for the advice. I was concerned about a super stiff shock for our roads in the NE. I will stay with the Sport shocks. I will continue looking for wheels. I most certainly will post a photo if I find something nice. Regards, Bill Umstead

    Another LS Suspension Question

I want to thank this forum for much needed information on the LS. Lots of valuable postings on this site. I recently purchased a 2002 V6/5spd Sport with 35k. After 2000 miles of driving, I am very impressed with the car. FLM did a great job on the design and execution of this package. That...
