He worked on my car for 2 months which he named the rust bucket. That car was smooth and tight after I took it back. There wasnt one question I asked about my Mark that he didnt know the answer. Not to mention a photo CD he made documenting all the work. He reinforced to me you do the job right...
I have this same problem that started today. Could this be caused by an aftermarket chip with shifts set to firmer than stock ? Ive always had a hard 1,2 shift with the chip.
For my 1994, I bought the Equus 3145 code reader with the 6 foot extension cable from Amazon. Its a good little code reader it does. koeo, koer, cylinder balance test, and something else i forget. But it works plain and simple.
Never really thought about the ecm being faulty. Im more than willing to try.
As for the electrical system im gunna ask a buddy if he wants to help me.
Anyone have a ecm they want to sell ?
Even though I have no CE light, I decided to put the code reader on the car during lunch today for the hell of it.
To my surprise I got error 225C Knock sensor not detected during dynamic response test KOER.
Can someone tell me where they are located and whats needed to.change them ?
Very sorry Sapper, I would have to say yes but not all the time. Waiting at a red light after a 45 min drive last week the tach needle would fluctuate a bit with a rough idle but next day it was fine. What are you thinking ?
I used maf cleaner. IAC and TPS I would like to avoid just by reading past threads especially on a gen 1. Im going to have to face them sooner or later it seems. Im thinking there out of my mechanical range.
