Clean the MAF, change air filter if its dirty, check for vacuum leaks, especially the one on the rear passenger side of intake, if that don't fix it change the O2's. I'd rather pull a tooth from a grizzly bear but its doable...

No beeping, just lit the airbag light on the piano. Also I have developed a stall after I have started the engine and ran it for awhile then cut it off then restart it and it will stumble then take off and not do it again. Related? Cruise and horn are working fine.

Hey guys, my 94 Gen 1 just lit up the airbag light and I've read on here that it is usually a ground up in the front bumper area. I have looked high and low and can't find it. Can anybody point me in the right direction?

+1 on the crank sensor. Just pull it off and spray some de-ox electrical terminal cleaner on it and plug it back up. Very common on Marks.

Yes it can cause surging, I had the same problem and got a Neutral drive circuit open code and a range sensor not switching states. I installed a neutral safety switch and no more surging. I did this after replacing every sensor on the stupid thing. Everybody told me this was not my problem, but...

Had this problem on my 93 Crown Vic and it was the rubber gasket where the fill tube went into the tank. I don't know if MKVIII's have the same setup, I've never had mine out, but it would be worth checking. $30 bucks at the dealer. what a ripoff
