I checked out all the Pioneer stuff and IMO the Kenwood eXcelon series has better options and a more user friendly interface. And here are a couple pics.
Well, just ordered MOOG toe compensator links, rear control arm bushings, sway bar bushings and have two new rear air springs to put in. Hoping all that will do the trick. I'll let you know how it turns out.
Definitely take the time to rewire. It's worth the effort. Before I decided to rewire everything, I was having a problem with noise coming through the speakers. I just ended up replacing everything. Kenwood head unit, Alpine compnents in the front (with tweeters in original tweeter location)...
There was a rattle in the rear of my car and it was riding terribly, so I installed a brand new set of Monroe Sensa-Trac shocks w/ mounts (from Eddie at American Air). My old shocks (still the originals on the car) were completely shot as were the mounts. Got the new shocks in no problem, the...
So, I figured it out! I wanted to follow up to help anyone with the same problem because if it weren't for coincidental luck, I would never have looked here. Turns out, one of the projects on my Mark was to replace the rear neon brake light with one I refurbed. As I was replacing the light, I...
I had the door ajar problem like a year ago and a spray of WD40 did the trick. This problem has just started recently. Last time I was in the car, the remote was a good 50ft away in my apt. I will change the batteries just to be sure, but I doubt that is the problem. Does it sometimes when the...
So, recently, my doors have started locking or unlocking randomly and it seems to be getting worse. The first time I thought I was sitting on the FOB, but then it started happening while driving. Now it is becoming fairly frequent. Any suggestions?
Recently the outside temperature button on my 97 Mark has been on the fritz. Sometimes it works, other times says it is -40. Occationally it is inbetween.
Where is this sensor located and is it an easy fix?
Any insight would be much appreciated.
Update. I still have noise with the head unit completely disconnected. I get more and different noises when the headlights are turned on or the climate control is on. Now what?
Thank you for all the suggestions! I really appreciate it. The capacitor is a Stinger Pro series, so I dont think its the issue. I do have the power running down the driver side under the carpet and am using the factory cables as signal wires. Yes, i am getting a whining sound that goes up in...
The power wire is running down the drivers side in the channels under the carpet. I am using the stock wires that run from the head unit to the trunk instead of RCAs for now. I have spk level to line level converters on them. I am running around 1400 watts RMS in total with sub and speaker amps.
I am getting a buzzing noise through my speakers in accessory mode and the same buzzing plus engine noise through the speakers when the car is running.
I installed new speakers in the front and rear, re-ran new wires to the speakers. I removed the factory amp and replaced it with an alpine...
Does anyone have any experience or suggestions on how to position subs in the trunk (facing front or facing back) for the best sound? About to start designing a new custom box and was just looking for some input. Thanks.
