I was wondering what would be considered an unaccepatable temp. for a transmission to reach....what would be a warning temp., you know, a time to stop driving it and let it cool down? Any advise is appreciated, thanks.

Okay, I have read numerous times that these drive shafs are crap on the Mark VIII's. I installed 4:30 gears and have a terrible vibration from 55-65, then from 70-80 a less but still noticable vibration. Anyway, I am going to have to surrender to the expense of the metal matrix drive...

How much would shipping be? I live in area code 50310.

I installed a 4:10 and posi unit, and I did not get a chip or a driveshaft, and I have gone a bit over 100 mph with no problems what so ever. I may just be the lucky one though.....oh, and mine is a 97 mark.

Krylon makes a plastic adhesive paint in a can called, fusion. There is another brand that I forgot the name of, that was designed for basically the same thing. Hope this helps. Derrick.
